Deacon and Committee Nominations

 

Dear Church Family,

As Christians, we all have been given spiritual gifts with which we may serve the Lord, his Church, and his kingdom. It takes many of us coming together in loving service in order to carry out the work of the church. Each year, our congregation nominates and then elects some of our members to use their God-given gifts as deacons and committee members. Nominations are due by Sunday, February 8.

Woodmont Baptist Church, as per our bylaws, elects six deacons each year to serve a three-year term. Our deacon body serves as leaders in our church by coordinating the work of the standing committees and bringing the appropriate recommendations to the congregation for approval each month at our Members’ Meetings.

 

​Our standing committees are: Nominating, Personnel, Property & Grounds, Finance, and Missions.

We ask that you would prayerfully consider who might be qualified to serve in these important roles. If you yourself feel led to volunteer, please nominate yourself! Please use the links below to see current committee members and deacons, a list of those eligible to become deacons, and nomination forms. Nomination cards are also available in the piano foyer for those who would rather submit their nominations in-person. Those cards will be available on Wednesday evening and Sunday morning.
