Meet Woodmont's Staff

NATHAN PARKER, Senior Pastor

 

As Senior Pastor, Nathan is responsible for preaching and teaching the Word of God during our worship gatherings, shepherding and caring for all who may enter our doors, and setting the overall vision for our church. He was called to be Woodmont’s fourth-ever Pastor in January of 2017. 

 

Nathan grew up here in the Nashville area and attended Belmont University (BA in Religion), then Beeson Divinity School (MDiv), and received his Doctorate of Ministry at Lipscomb University in 2019. 

 

Nathan married Morgan in 2005, and they have three children - Jude, Mae, and Isaiah.

AARON DUNCAN, Executive Pastor of Music & Administration

 

As Executive Pastor of Music and Administration, Aaron is responsible for using music to worship the Lord, disciple God’s people, and evangelize all who come to worship at Woodmont Baptist Church. He oversees all choral and instrumental activities and leads during worship services. As an administrator, he works with the Senior Pastor in overseeing the administrative needs of the church.

 

Aaron grew up in the Nashville area and attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville (BA in Music Education) and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (MA in Worship Leadership).

 

Aaron married his high school sweetheart, Laura, in 2008, and together they have four children – Hannah, Selah, Sterling, and Leighton.

BETH HOWE, Minister of Students & Discipleship

 

As Minister of Students and Discipleship, Beth is responsible for partnering with youth and college students and their families to help them discover a relationship with Jesus, grow in their understanding of God’s Word, and provide opportunities to be on mission in their communities and around the world. She is also responsible for helping oversee and equip adult small groups, lead and provide resources for discipleship, and more.

Beth graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a degree in Psychology and then completed her Masters in Christian Education with a concentration in counseling at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. She has served in ministry for over 20 years in MS, TX, AL, and TN.

Beth married Jonathan in 2003, and they have four children - Ethan, Parker, Micah, and Avery. They love game nights, Preds Hockey, and riding roller coasters at theme parks when they can.

RACHEL GREGORY, Minister of Preschool & Children

 

As Minister of Preschool and Children, Rachel is responsible for shepherding children from birth through 5th grade. She feels called to encourage children to discover their identity as children of God and ultimately, to establish a foundational relationship with Jesus as Lord and Savior. She is also responsible for ministering to families and equipping them to be the primary disciple makers of their children. 

 

Rachel is a 2014 graduate of Samford University with an Elementary Education degree and a minor in Religion. After college, she served as an IMB Journeyman in Madagascar for two years as a homeschool teacher for missionary children. Missions continues to be one of her great passions-to see God's glorious gospel known among all peoples and nations.

 

Rachel completed her Masters of Arts in Christian Studies through Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Rachel is a retired pole vaulter and enjoys sports, photography, and travel.

LIL COOK, Ministry Assistant / Senior Adults

 

After teaching for 15 years at a local private Christian academy, Lil joined the WBC staff in 2002 as Assistant to the Senior Pastor. She is now Ministry Assistant and Director of the Senior Adult Ministry which is her passion.

 

Lil was born and raised in Nashville but graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1972. She returned to Belmont College to add her teaching certificate in elementary education in 1986.  

 

Lil has three adult daughters and 4 grandchildren.

RON LANDIS, Facility Director

 

Ron’s responsibility as the facility director at our church is to keep the entire site, both interior and exterior, in good visual & working order. 

 

Ron was a team leader mechanic for General Motors for 27 years and now has been at Woodmont since 2004. 

 

He is married to Sandra and they have 5 children and 12 grandchildren.

WINDY ROBBINS, Director of Weekday Preschool

 

Windy grew up in LaFollette, TN and attended college at Tennessee Technological University where she majored in Elementary Education. While attending college she met her spouse, Dennis, and job opportunities had them relocate to Nashville.

 

They joined Woodmont in 1985, and in August 2005, Windy accepted the position as Director of our Weekday Preschool. She enjoys having the opportunity to see 75 smiling children daily and know that they are precious gifts from God.

 

She and her husband Dennis have one daughter, Ashlinn Grace.

REBECCA PRATHER, Media Coordinator

 

As Media Coordinator, Rebecca is responsible for developing, formatting, and maintaining Woodmont's print and digital media.

Rebecca grew up near Huntsville, Alabama, and traveled to the Nashville area in 2013 to attend Belmont University. She graduated in 2017 with a degree in journalism. After graduating, she officially joined Woodmont Baptist as a member and was baptized in the sanctuary.

Rebecca married Trevor Prather in 2021 after they met at Woodmont.

CHRIS BECK, Church Accountant

 

As Church Accountant, Chris is responsible for recording contributions, processing disbursements and preparing monthly financial reports for the church. She has been serving Woodmont Baptist Church in this part-time capacity since January, 2010.

 

Born and raised in West Michigan, Chris has called Nashville home since 1989. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Calvin College and later her Masters of Business Administration from Belmont University.

 

She enjoys spending time with her husband, Joe,  and their three children.
